Seamus Finnigan is one of Harry Potter's friends at Hogwarts. He is in Gryffindor house and is a massive Quidditch fan. This page contains info, links and a Seamus Finnigan picture.

Seamus Finnigan has an ongoing problem with his spells blowing up in his face, he once caused a small explosion and ignited a feather in his Charms class. Some time afterwards he offered to undo the Leg-Locker Curse that had been cast on Neville, but Neville politely declined. This offended Seamus, who announced that his eyebrows had completely grown back since the feather incident!

Seamus Finnigan is a half-blood due to the fact that his mother is a witch while his father is a Muggle. His father didn't even find out his mother practiced witchcraft until after the marriage, which was a bit of a nasty shock for him. Seamus watched the Quidditch World Cup Final with the Weasleys and Harry, of course supporting Ireland against Bulgaria. In fact the Finnigans camped out in the Irish section of the campground during the World Cup in a tent covered with live shamrocks.

He went to the Yule ball with Lavender Brown, and thought that Parvati Patil was the best looking girl in the year. Due to the influence of his mother and the article in The Daily Prophet (which wrongly gave the impression that Harry was big headed), Seamus did not fully trust Harry at the start of their fifth year. Which caused a lot of tension in the dormitory, lessons and common room. In fact Seamus and Harry had quite a falling out on their first night back, but eventually Seamus came around after reading Harry's true thoughts in his interview to The Quibbler.
