QuidditchQuidditch - The sport of Wizards, much better than football. More balls for a start.

Quidditch Rules. The rules governing the playing of Quidditch

Here are the rules of the game "Quidditch" as said by J.K. Rowling

At the beginning of the game, the captains of the two participating teams shake hands and then all players mount their brooms. Once every player has mounted their brooms, the referee releases the balls and the game begins.

Scoring

  • 10 points - Quaffle through a goalpost.
  • 150 points - Catching of the Golden Snitch by the Seeker.

Once the Snitch has been caught, the game is over.

    Fouls

There are over 700 (This may be 70, 700 seems alot) ways to commit a foul in the game of Quidditch. The team that is fouled against may either get possesion of the Quaffle or a free shot at the goal post.

    Players

Keeper - Guardian of the goalposts

Chasers - Manipulators of the Quaffle

Beaters - The members of a Quidditch team who are responsible for hitting the Bludgers away from their teammates and toward the opposition

Seeker - Hunter of the Golden Snitch
