Harry Potter Gringotts coins

The coins used by the witches and wizards of Harry Potter's world come in three denominations, the gold Galleon, the silver Sickle and the bronze Knut. The Knut is the lowest denomination wizard coin, one Sickle being worth 29 Knuts, and one Galleon being worth 17 Sickles or 493 Knuts. These coins are only legal tender within the Harry Potter books.

The Isle of Man began issuing Harry Potter coins in 2001, based on the popularity of the first film. A second set was issued in 2002 after the release of the second film. These coins (below) are legal tender on the Isle of Man.
