Arthur Weasley. Information on Mr Arthur Weasley. Ron Weasley's father is the cheerfully Muggle obsessed patriarch of the Weasley family

Head of the Weasley clan, Mr Arthur Weasley, works at the Ministry of Magic in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Department. Mr Weasley and another wizard named Perkins are the sum total of the department and work in a tiny, dingy office on the second floor of the Ministry, with the rest of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

Mr Weasley was drawn to the job by his love of all things muggle made, and continues to stick to it despite the low wages and poor conditions. Arthur Weasley's fascination with muggle technology has led to numerous illegal artifacts piling up in his own shed, and were he to raid his own home, the Burrow, he'd have some explaining to do. Fortunately he has no intention of doing so and for the most part his collection remains harmless, apart from the one time Fred, George and Ron borrowed his enchanted car and flew halfway across England to rescue Harry from Privet Drive. Luckily nothing seems to have come of the events which led up to Harry and Ron crashing the car into the Whomping Willow and nearly being expelled.

Arthur is a prominent member of the Order of the Phoenix and along with several Aurors, helps keep an eye on the Ministry from the inside.
